William Eckhardt Research Center

The William Eckhardt Research Center is a new high performance research on the University of Chicago campus. HOK is the building architect; IDEA is the associate architect for the project. The building is the home for the Physical Sciences Division (PSD) Dean’s Office, Departments of Astronomy and Astrophysics (A&AP), Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics (KICP), and the Institute for Molecular Engineering (IME). The building’s program includes two floors below grade for high performance research labs, including imaging and cleanroom spaces and five floors above grade for research labs, offices and conference collaboration spaces.
