Lobby and Entry Renovations

IDEA has performed professional architectural design services on a number of downtown Chicago corporate office properties.  The essence of the projects were to upgrade the entry experience by interior and storefront renovations.  In some cases the renovations were driven by market retail upgrades for the ground floor tenant spaces.

The projects indicated here were for Marc Realty.

Challenges

The projects all addressed older historic properties in downtown Chicago.  Historic preservation and sensitivity to the original design fabric was of paramount concern while  upgrading the entry experience for Grade B office buildings.  In several cases the lobby experience was thought of as a rebranding for the building as the existing conditions were largely undistinguished.

These properties included The Stevens Building, The Page Brothers Building, 123 West Madison, 30 North Michigan Avenue and 17 North State Street.
